We have all been there! You just sit down to eat a nice meal at your favorite restaurant, when your toddler lets out a scream and pushes all his or her food off the table into your lap. Or, you are standing in front of an open fridge and your toddler is crying at your feet begging for something you haven’t even cooked yet. Meal times with toddlers can be stressful and sometimes even painful. I know first-hand, I get it. That is why I decided to share with you my favorite products that guarantee stress-free meals with your toddler.
5 Simple Products that Guarantee Stress-Free Meals with your Toddler
I found 5 stand-out products that I cannot live without. I use them every single day. These are my go-to tools that make meal times with my daughter so much better. They are quick, easy to use, and even provide an element of fun. I am excited to share them with you here:

I love this steamer so much, I own two! This little guy is used every night to cook fresh steamed vegetables for my daughter. I usually cut up carrots, zucchini, or broccoli and place in the little basket, add water, and then microwave for 1.5 to 2 minutes. That’s it! The vegetables are ready for my daughter’s tray. I especially love this steamer because it is perfect for travel. I can steam fresh vegetables for my daughter even in hotel rooms.
These table toppers are life-savers at restaurants, and now that they come with stickers, they guarantee stress-free meals. They adhere well to most tables and are hard for little fingers to pry loose. I love being able to put food on the table for my daughter without having to worry about germs.
These table toppers can be found with a variety of characters. In addition to Sesame Street, we also have Sophia the First, Mickey Mouse, Cars, and Minnie Mouse. Each table topper has its own sheet of reuseable stickers that toddlers can use with the learning game or image found on the front of the table topper.
The best part is my daughter is usually still working on her stickers when the food arrives. This means my husband and I can actually have our own conversation and enjoy our meals at restaurants again. Genius!!
As my daughter grows older, she wants to help me cook more and more. She watches me turn the knobs on the oven and stove and reaches up to try to turn them herself. In addition, she likes to grab a step stool to climb up next to me and peek at what I am doing on the counter. I used to worry all the time that my daughter would burn herself on our gas range until I bought one of these clear, black stove guards. It has given me such peace of mind. I can focus now on teaching my budding chef.
4. OXO Tot Grape Cutter, Green
This tool is oh so simple, but effective. My daughter loves grapes for snack. I just grab a few from the fridge pop them into this sharp cutter, and I quickly have a pile of sliced grapes for snack. I don’t have to dirty a knife or cutting board for this task. Plus, it washes easily. The cutter also fits nicely in the diaper bag to take to restaurants.
Note: I have tried using the cutter with cherry tomatoes and it doesn’t work as well as with grapes. Most of the tomatoes got smashed instead of cut. I think this cutter may work well for olives, but I haven’t tried it yet. I will let you know 🙂 Right now, I use it solely for grapes, which are one of the scariest choking hazards anyway.
There are lots of sippy cups on the market, but these cups with no spouts are my favorite. They are easy to put together, easy to take part, and easy to wash. I love how they can be placed in the top rack of the dishwasher. The cups come in multiple sizes and colors, but the screw on lids are all interchangeable.
My daughter loves drinking out of these sippy cups because they look just like mama’s cup with no spout. They are great transition cups to the real thing. Oh, and they travel well too. We fill these cups up with milk at a restaurant and then take them home to wash without any spills
Bonus! Free Toddler Meal Plan
In addition to all the products mentioned above, I also build a meal plan each week just for my toddler. I like having a plan so I know my little one is eating the right foods, and I don’t have to think about it all week. I also find my daughter responds very well to this plan because she knows what to expect. It is my ultimate sanity saver and guarantees stress-free meals with my daughter.
